We started some production finally this week. Expect the site to come alive after the holiday weekend. I know we wanted an official launch on July 1st, but foes that ever work out? Thanks for hanging in there. |

 Bike maker Salsa has unveiled two 2009 bikes this week, the El Kaboing 26-inch-wheel suspension bike and the Big Mama, a 29er suspension rig for those folks for whom 26-inch wheels just aren’t big enough. Both bikes fall into the ‘trail bike’ category, with five inches of travel for the El Kaboing and four for the Big Mama. Both also use custom-drawn aluminium-scandium alloy tubing (usually just referred to as ‘Scandium’ even though scandium is actually just one of the alloying elements) to increase fatigue life and allow the shaving of some weight. more at Bike Radar |

The DirtCartel.com team was in Vancouver this last week checking out the scene. Let me just say that as good as the mountain biking is up there, the internet access leaves a LOT to be desired.
Anyway we are on track to launch July 1st.
And the photo of the month for may will go up today...late as it is. |

 MTBcut.tv is my new favorite mountain bike website. Mainly because I don't have to read anything. I can just watch mountain bike videos. Plus the have an eerily familiar color scheme.

 We have been hearing little leaks of news that people tell us about SRAM Blackbox Racing. Is it some kind of high end parts line? Is it a total new brand? Low end parts?
Well, at the Blackbox site that is now up the only bit of concrete information available is this quote:
Blackbox racing development program is a proving ground for new performance products
Well that just clears up everyting.
